Exhibitions

Musée Lumen rotates its collection twice a year and hosts two temporary exhibitions annually. Here is what is currently on view across our three floors and the sculpture garden.

Ground floor

The Colour Rooms

A chromatic walk through a century of abstraction: from the ochres of the post-war school to the saturated acrylics of the 1980s, ending in a room dedicated to monochrome contemporary painting.

First floor

Light Machines

Kinetic and luminous works from the 1960s to today. The room is deliberately dark: give your eyes ten minutes and the works will do the rest.

T. Aalto, “Slow Machine n°4” (1970) — running.

Garden

Sculpture in Season

Nine monumental pieces installed among the birches. The garden is free to visit every day, dawn to dusk.
